I hope everyone had a safe and fun Holiday!!
I also want to say Thank You for a great year at Poochies
and Mutts. The staff and I had a blast taking care of your
furry family members.
Winter is a good time to get some one on one time with your
pet and teach them some new tricks or refresh the basics.
The first step in teaching new things is to be in a quiet
area with few distractions. That’s what makes this the
ideal time. You can train in your kitchen, the hallway, and
even in front of the T. V. during the commercials. (Great
time to practice sit and down stays)
Going to training class always helps, but you can Home
School too. There are a lot of great books that give you
step by step instructions to teach tricks. Or you can get a
book for basic obedience. Just go to the library and you
will find all kinds of interesting things.
Remember to have fun with your dog and laugh a lot.
